Realignment...It's All About the Girls!

By now, you have probably heard a lot of different snippets of information about the council realignment process. I would like to begin by thanking each of you for your support and your enthusiasm for what I feel is an incredibly positive step in our quest to impact the lives of girls in a lasting way.

Realignment, or in business terms, the merging of four councils into one, is an immense undertaking. Under the direction and support of GSUSA, this process will hopefully appear seamless to those we serve: you and the girls.

The other three councils, Conestoga, Little Cloud, and Mississippi Valley, are just as enthused about this venture as we are. We all see it as an opportunity – not a threat or a negative – to deliver the Girl Scout program to more girls. We are united by one mission.

My goal is to make sure you know everything that we know through out this process. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, make suggestions or be part of the process. The biggest stakeholder we have in this endeavor is the girls. We want to impact them in new and better ways, make their experience one that lasts and of course, build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
