Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5-17 and all adults. Membership is $10 for both girls and adults, financial assistance is available. For more information, email us at info@girlscoutsofstc.org. The membership fee pays the national dues.   AGE LEVELS
Girl Scouting is divided into four age levels, each with its own age appropriate activities and programs.

Daisy Girl Scouts Kindergarten or 5-6 years old
Brownie Girl Scouts Grades 1-3 or 6-8 years old
Junior Girl Scouts Grades 4-6 or 8-11 years old
STUDIO 2B for girls ages 11-17

There are several options girls and parents have for participating in Girl Scouts:

  GIRL SCOUT TROOPS
For a girl who wants to be part of an ongoing group that meets throughout the year under the guidance of trained, caring adults-a group that gives her the opportunity to explore new things, learn to work with others, and plan and carry out a wide variety of program activities.

  ACTIVITY CENTER
Includes girls of all age-levels who meet together at a specific building location and are involved in a wide variety of short or long term Girl Scout activities under the guidance of trained adult leadership.

  JULIETTES (non-troop affiliated)
While most girls belong to troops, that is not the only way to receive Girl Scouts program. Girls also may have an individual membership and can participate in all programs and events offered by our council and Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. For all age levels who do not meet with a troop or group by personal choice. These girls participate in all aspects of Girl Scouting and are kept informed of council and service unit opportunities.

  LEADERS
Without leaders, the Girl Scout program could not exist. It is their enthusiasm that makes the spirit of Girl Scouting come alive for girls. It is their understanding and skill that offers girls opportunities to grow through the fun and friendship of a troop.
